Pickett Property Management began operations in 1984, serving the needs of the single-family and small multi-family property owner in Kitsap County, Washington. From the beginning, our focus has been to offer quality housing to our residents, and to ensure quality service to our owners. The overriding theme of our business plan is to deliver the best service possible by focusing our efforts. Property Management is our only business!

Serving the communities of Silverdale, Bremerton, Poulsbo, Port Orchard and neighboring regions of Kitsap County, we strongly believe that close observation and access are critical elements in successfully managing rental homes. Limiting our service area allows us to pay close attention to each of our properties, ensuring peace of mind for the client.

Our management service concentrates on the needs of the single-family and small multi-family residential property owner and resident. This specialized approach allows us to devote our energies to providing the level of service our clients deserve. We prefer to leave commercial properties, large apartment complexes, and association management to the experts in those fields.

Our people:

Jim Pickett, MPM (Master Property Manager), Property Manager and President. Jim has been involved in real estate in Kitsap County since 1975, and a licensed broker since 1978. He and Debbie started Pickett Property Management in 1984 in response to the community's need for a professional and dedicated property management service. Jim has been a long time supporter of Kitsap County's military community and in 1995, retired with the rank of Commander from the Naval Reserve.

Debbie Pickett, company founder and co-owner. Debbie was the first to recognize the need for single family specialists in Kitsap County and was the catalyst in starting the company. For many years she divided her time between the office and her nursing career, however she  remains an instrumental part of the development and success of the company.

Meredith Anderson, MPM (Master Property Manager), Property Manager with Pickett since 1992. A graduate of the University of Washington and a resident of Kitsap County for over 30 years, Meredith brings a tireless work ethic to the job. She received the prestigious designation of Professional Property Manager from NARPM in 1999 and in 2003 became only the second property manager in Kitsap County to earn the designation of Master Property Manager.

Allison Janowski, Property Manager.  Allison is a Navy wife and a former owner of a rental home managed by Pickett Property Management.  Having been an absentee owner, she knows firsthand the issues and emotions that go along with having your home rented to others.  When her husband received orders back to Kitsap after a seven year absence, she decided to put down roots and become a permanent part of the community.  In November of 2006, Allison joined us here at Pickett.  She is a strong advocate for the military community, both owner and tenant.  We love Allison's "can do" attitude and her ability to get things done. In the Spring of 2010, Allison successfully completed the rigorous course of instruction and passed the state exam to earn her Managing Broker's license.

Jodi Rose, Property Manager.  Jodi returned to the property management business in 2008 having spent several years assisting in the office during her high school and college years.  Along with her husband Kevin, she operated At Your Service Home Repair for the several years while staying at home with their two young daughters.  Even though she is one of the newest property managers on our staff, clients love her devotion to the job and the way she digs in to solve problems. Jodi has also earned her Managing Broker's license in June 2010.   

Kevin Rose, Property Manager.  Kevin comes to Pickett from the maintenance field.  He was the principal operator of At Your Service Home Repair, developing the business from its inception.  This background gives him exceptional insight into the many maintenance issues we face every day.  A former Navy Submariner and current drilling reservist, he is intimately familiar with the concerns and interests of our military owners and tenants.  Kevin also earned his Managing Broker's license at the same time as Jodi.  

Sherry Hallmark, Property Manager.  Sherry has been with Pickett since 2008.  A Navy wife for most of her adult life, she relates to our clientele as "one who has been there". Sherry's first 18 months with our family were as a receptionist.  During this time she learned the systems and processes so well, her transition to Property Manager has been very smooth.  Highly effecient and dedicated, she is building solid relationships with our owners and tenants.

Ben Pickett, Network Specialist-management assistant.  Ben keeps the network running.  After formal training as an electronics technician and employment with larger companies as equipment technician and network maintenance, Ben was affected by the corporate downsizing in 2008.  His misfortune is our blessing.  While we don't understand his "geek speak", our systems have run much smoother since he joined the company. We truly are blessed to have his technical ability on our staff.

Jenifer Ellis, Property Manager.  Jenn just graduated from Administrative Assistant to Property Manager, having passed her Real Estate exam in May 2010.  Over the next few months, she will be "getting her feet wet" as a Property Manager even as she trains her relief in the administrative arena.  One of Jenn's most notable qualities is her ability to engage people in a positive way.  She is quick to establish common ground for real communication and enhanced relationship building.  Jenn is our "native" Kitsap resident.  Want to know something about the area?  Ask Jenn; she's a walking tour guide.

Denise Moore, Property Manager.  Denise joined Pickett in the Fall of 2009.  As a Navy wife, she had served as Ombudsman for two of her husband's submarine crews.  At Bill's retirement, his Commanding Officer gave Denise a special award recognizing her exceptional contributions as the Ombudsman.  Denise pursues her management duties with the same determination and compassion that she gave to her Navy family.  Being an absentee homeowner while in the Navy, has give her great insight into our owner's needs.

Evie Osburn, Administrative Assistant/ and future Property Manager.  Evie has also been with Pickett since Fall of 2009.  She will be in the front office as Admin Assistant while being groomed for a property manager role.  She passed her real estate exam just this month (June 2010) and looks forward to the transition in the future.  Evie hails from Las Vegas, NV, but is quickly getting acquainted with Kitsap County.  Her amazement at new discoveries here and a zest for life are a breath of fresh air for the rest of us in the office.

Samantha Fairweather, Receptionist.  Sam worked last Summer as a Receptionist and is doing a repeat this Summer before heading to Western Washington University for her Freshman year.  Charming and efficient, she sets the bar quite high in her role as "Director of First Impressions".  Over the past couple of years, she has taken on some special projects for us prior to filling in at the front desk.   Always a delight to have around, we will miss her come Fall when she heads off to school.
